Winter Graces

Here are a few of my favorite pictures from last week. The snow was heavy, thick, glistening.

We have a wild turkey that’s been eating nearby berries. We see evidence of his travels in the snow.

And deer footprints:

The birds at our feeders bring delight.

This morning, a pileated woodpecker! ( First time we’ve seen him so close.)

I stop often along the roads to take pictures.

Especially when we come upon scenes like this, a few days ago, on a nearby road.
