This past week, we took a quick drive south to spend a little time with family. We wished Dave’s mom a happy 99th birthday ( sad, as she’s in a nursing home with Alzheimer’s and couldn’t recognize us.) We spent time with two of our three sons and met a new girlfriend (who we like ..)
We took care of a few business details for my soon-to-be-published children’s book about Door County. ( More to come about this in the next few weeks.) We visited with siblings and touched base with not enough of our friends, and could have spent more time with all of the people we love and miss. But now we are back in Wisconsin, and to make myself remember that winter is beautiful, and that I don’t really NEED to see daffodils like people in the south are seeing, here are a few of my favorite pictures to celebrate the beauty of Door County winter.
